Minimum Requirements

• Current Police Officer or active within last 18 months and MCOLES certified

Compensation & Benefits

• Current lateral officer starting pay rates with credited time are:
  • • 1 year:   $62,556
    • 2 years: $67,368
    • 3 years: $72,982
    • 4 or more years: $80,200

• Top base rate pay in 2028 is: $95,000
• $4,500 Bonus Pay each year for three years 2022 through 2024 (up to $13,500 total paid)
• 3% Yearly Incentive Pay
• Military Bonus: $1,000 annually
• Education Bonus: $250 - $1,000 Annually
• Gun & Uniform Allowances - $1,000 each
• 26 Vacation Days, 4 Personal Days, Sick Days, Paid Holidays
• Defined Benefit Pension w/ 5% contribution; 2.5% multiplier after 25 years 
• Deferred Retirement Option Plan (D.R.O.P.) after 25 years
• Medical/Dental/Vision Coverage; 20% Employee Premium Contribution; Hard Cap effective January 1, 2025 
• College Tuition Reimbursement
• 12 Hour shifts; 2-week cycle (5 and 2)
