Minimum Requirements

  • Current Police Officer

Compensation & Benefits

  • Current lateral officer starting pay rates with credited time are:
      • 1 year: $56,965
      • 2 years: $61,601
      • 3 years: $66,377
      • 4 or more years: $73,080
  • Top base rate pay in 2025 is: $77,929
  • $4,500 Bonus Pay each year for three years 2022 through 2024 (up to $13,500 total paid)
  • 3% Yearly Incentive Pay
  • Gun & Uniform Allowances - $1,000 each
  • 26 Vacation Days, 4 Personal Days, Sick Days, Paid Holidays
  • Defined Benefit Pension w/ 5% contribution; 2.5% multiplier after 25 years 
  • Deferred Retirement Option Plan (D.R.O.P.) after 25 years
  • Medical/Dental/Vision Coverage; 20% Employee Premium Contribution
  • College Tuition Reimbursement
  • 12 Hour shifts; 2-week cycle (5 and 2)
